Vehicle Detection

Tracks vehicles as vehicles, separately from the people around them. Yards, approach roads and service entrances, where movement after hours means something different from movement at eleven in the morning.

What triggers it

Finds and tracks vehicles, and separates them by type where the footage supports it — car, two-wheeler, truck, bus. Type accuracy falls off with distance before presence detection does, so a vehicle may be counted correctly and typed wrongly.

What you set up

  • the zone
  • vehicle types to track
  • confidence floor
  • whether stationary vehicles keep reporting

What the operator gets

A box and type label per vehicle, and a live count by type in the zone.

Where it’s used

Every site defines this differently.

What counts as an event in a hospital lobby isn't what counts on a station platform or a factory floor. Describe your scene and we'll tune the detection to it.
