ANPR
Automatic Number Plate Recognition for vehicle identification and access. It turns a gate from something a guard opens into something a list opens.
What triggers it
Reads the number plate rather than recognising the vehicle. Accuracy depends on the angle the plate presents to the camera and how fast it is moving past, which is why ANPR cameras are usually mounted for a narrow approach rather than a wide view.
What you set up
- the read zone
- the plate formats in use on site
- a watch-list, if plates should raise an alert
- schedule
What the operator gets
The plate as text, a cropped image of the plate, the full-frame clip, and an alert if the plate is on your list.
Where it’s used
Every site defines this differently.
What counts as an event in a hospital lobby isn't what counts on a station platform or a factory floor. Describe your scene and we'll tune the detection to it.
