Camera Tampering Detection

Detects tampering with a camera — defocus, obstruction, redirection, or spray — that would degrade coverage. Most sites find out a camera was blind when they go looking for footage that does not exist.

What triggers it

Watches the camera rather than the scene. Defocus, obstruction, redirection and spray all produce a picture that still streams, so a health check on uptime will report the camera as fine while it has stopped being useful.

What you set up

  • a reference view
  • sensitivity per fault type
  • schedule

What the operator gets

An alert naming the fault, the last good frame, and the current one for comparison.

Where it’s used

Every site defines this differently.

What counts as an event in a hospital lobby isn't what counts on a station platform or a factory floor. Describe your scene and we'll tune the detection to it.
